Pour & Sip · Wednesday–Saturday

The cocktail candle making class in Inglewood.

A Golden Hour cocktail candle from the Pour and Sip class in Inglewood — black gel wax in a rocks glass topped with amber ice chunks and a cherry, in a clear gift box with a gold bow

Make a candle that looks like your favorite drink: layered gel wax in a real rocks glass, martini glass or footed mug, iced and garnished like it's ready to serve, and named with its own label. A glass of wine comes with your seat. Think paint and sip, for people who'd rather light what they made than hang it. About two hours, $50 a person, right here on Crenshaw.

What you'll make

A cocktail you can't drink, in a glass you keep.

There's no menu. Every candle is built from scratch at the table, starting with real glassware — a rocks glass, a martini glass or a footed mug. You layer colored gel wax into it the way the drink would sit in the glass, sugar the rim if your drink calls for it, and pile on ice-look chunks and wax fruit: cherries, berries, lemon wheels, even gummy bears. Pick your fragrance, then name it — after the drink, the mood, or yourself; we've seen more than one martini named after its maker — and we print a custom round label on the spot. It goes home in a clear gift box with a glitter backdrop and a ribbon bow, so it looks like something you bought. Except you made it.

Paint and sip? Cute.

It's a paint and sip for people who are done with wobbly sunflowers.

We love a paint and sip. We also know what happens to the painting: it rides home on the back seat, leans against a wall for three weeks, and quietly retires to the garage. A cocktail candle gets lit. It sits on the bar cart. People ask about it. Same wine, same friends, same two hours — and nobody has to pretend they can paint.

How the class goes

Two hours, four steps, one candle that looks drinkable.

Step one

Check in & pour

Grab your seat and your glass of wine, then pick your glassware — rocks glass, martini glass or footed mug — and your fragrance.

Step two

Layer the wax

Pour colored gel wax in layers, building the drink from the bottom of the glass up.

Step three

Garnish it

Sugar the rim, drop in wax fruit or gummy bears, and pile the ice-look chunks on top — whatever makes it look ready to serve.

Step four

Name it & box it

Give it a name, we print the custom round label, and it goes home in a clear gift box with a bow.

Every seat includes

Nothing to bring but your people.

  • Real glassware. Rocks glass, martini glass or footed mug — it's yours to keep.
  • All the wax. Gel wax, colors and fragrance for the whole candle.
  • The garnish. Ice-look chunks, wax fruit, gummy bears, and a sugared rim if you want one.
  • A custom label. Round, printed, named after your drink.
  • The gift box. Clear box, glitter backdrop, ribbon bow — it leaves looking like a present.
  • A glass of wine. One 6 oz pour for every guest 21 and up — sparkling apple cider for everyone else.
  • The owners at the table. Bryan and Tangie host every class themselves.

Good for

Our most-booked birthday class.

When a birthday group books with us, this is the class they pick. Everyone leaves with a candle, the guest of honor gets the fuss, and the room holds about 20 at a time. It works just as well for date nights, girls' nights and the whole team.

Birthdays & private parties

Want the shop to yourselves?

Pour and Sip is the class birthday groups book most. Reserve seats for your crew in a regular session, or close the floor and make it a private party — your music, your decorations, nobody else in the room. Add the taco bar and nobody leaves hungry. For bigger crowds we run rounds of 15, spaced about two and a half hours apart.

Private hosting: billed hourly with a 3-hour minimum, on top of per-seat pricing. We come to you: anywhere within 20 miles of the shop — $200 travel fee plus $50 per guest, 6-guest minimum.

Before you book

The questions we get every week.

Is this like a paint and sip?

Same idea — a drink, your people, two hours making something with your hands. The difference is what you leave with: a cocktail candle you'll actually light instead of a canvas you'll politely hide. If you've done the paint and sip thing in LA and want something new, this is it.

Do I need any experience?

None. We walk you through every pour, and first-timers leave with a candle that looks like it came off a bar cart. If you can pour a drink, you can make one.

How long is the class?

About two hours from check-in to boxing up your candle. Come a few minutes early to pick your glass.

Is the wine really included?

Yes — one 6 oz glass of wine comes with every seat for guests 21 and up, and sparkling apple cider for anyone who's under 21 or not drinking. It's optional; the candle is the main event.

Can someone under 21 come?

Yes. Guests under 21 get a complimentary glass of sparkling apple cider instead of wine, and everything else is the same — the glass, the wax, the garnish, the label.

Can I book Pour and Sip for a birthday?

It's our most-booked birthday class. Reserve seats for your group in a regular session, or close the floor for a private party — either way, every guest leaves with a candle and the birthday person gets the fuss. Start on the birthday page and we'll call to lock in the date.

How many people can I bring?

Book as many seats as you need — the room holds about 20 per session. Bigger crowds run in rounds of 15, or close the floor and make it a private party.

What days can I book?

Wednesday through Saturday. Pick your date and time on the booking page — weekend seats go first.

What if I need to reschedule?

Just tell us and we'll move you to another date. Refunds are available within three days of purchase; after that we reschedule rather than refund.

Can you bring the class to us?

Yes, anywhere within 20 miles of the shop: $200 travel fee plus $50 per guest, six-guest minimum. We need about 90 minutes to set up and two outlets for the wax tank.

Where do I park?

We have a free parking lot right at the door, and the studio is wheelchair accessible. We're at 10925 S. Crenshaw Blvd, Suite 106, in Inglewood.
