Our candle studio sits on Crenshaw Boulevard, under ten minutes from the SoFi Stadium gates — so every Rams Sunday, every Chargers game, every stadium concert weekend, somebody walks into our shop and asks the same question: "What else is there to do around here?"
A lot, actually. Inglewood isn't just a place you park — it's a city full of family-owned spots that were here long before the stadium, and it's having a moment: SoFi hosted World Cup matches this summer, the Super Bowl comes in 2027, and the Olympics open here in 2028. So here's the honest local answer we give everyone, whether you've got two hours before kickoff or a whole weekend to fill.
Before the game
1. Breakfast at The Serving Spoon
An Inglewood institution on Centinela Avenue, and the soul food breakfast people drive across LA for — catfish and eggs, turkey chops, grits done right. It's family-owned, it's beloved, and there's usually a line that moves faster than it looks. One catch: they're a morning spot that closes in the early afternoon, so this is strictly a before move. Get there early on game days.
2. The giant donut at Randy's
You've seen it in every movie set in LA — the massive rooftop donut on Manchester Boulevard. Randy's Donuts is open around the clock, the glazed is the classic, and a dozen makes you the most popular person at the tailgate. Take the photo. Everyone takes the photo.
3. A walk around Lake Park at Hollywood Park
Most visitors don't realize there's a free park with waterfalls and oversized art sculptures right next to the stadium, inside the Hollywood Park grounds. Enter near Arbor Vitae and Prairie, stroll the lake, get your pictures, and you're a short walk from the gates. The easiest pre-game hour there is.
4. A pint at Three Weavers
Inglewood's own craft brewery, on Manchester near the 405. Big outdoor space, communal tables, string lights, rotating food trucks, and planes from LAX drifting overhead. They open at noon on weekends, which lines up perfectly with a Sunday kickoff.
Make a whole day (or night) of it
5. Pour a drink into wax at our place — Pour & Sip
Full disclosure: this one's ours, and we'd put it on the list even if it wasn't. Fragrance of Elegance is a family-owned candle bar on Crenshaw, minutes from the stadium, and Pour & Sip is the session everybody talks about — you sit at the bar and build your favorite drink in wax. The iced coffee, the Blue Hawaiian, the martini with the gold shimmer. Real glass in one hand, your candle in the other. It's BYOB, every class includes a complimentary drink and a snack, sessions run about an hour and a half to two hours, and everything you make goes home with you. It's become the move for the night before a game, birthdays in town for a show, and couples turning a stadium trip into a full date night. We're open Tuesday through Sunday — just book ahead on event weekends, because those days fill first.
6. Coffee and a stroll on Market Street
Downtown Inglewood's Market Street is the neighborhood's front porch, and Sip & Sonder is its heart — a Black-owned coffee shop and roastery with real espresso, real music, and one of the best atmospheres in the city. Grab a latte and walk the block; this is the Inglewood the stadium crowds usually miss.
7. Dinner or Sunday brunch at Two Hommés
West African and Caribbean flavors from two LA-native chefs, tucked near La Brea — short ribs, jollof, garlic noodles people won't stop reviewing. It's small and it books up, so reserve ahead, and check their hours before you go: they do Sunday brunch and select dinner nights rather than a full week.
After the final whistle
8. Couldn't get tickets? Watch it at Cosm
Right in the Hollywood Park district, Cosm is an immersive dome venue that puts live games and shows on a screen that wraps around you — the closest thing to being inside the stadium without a ticket. It's also quietly become a date-night favorite for movie events. Open daily.
9. Check the marquees next door
The Kia Forum is less than half a mile from SoFi, the Intuit Dome is across the street, and the YouTube Theater is inside Hollywood Park itself. On big weekends there's often more than one show in the neighborhood — worth a look before you decide the night's over.
10. The traffic move (a local secret)
Here's the truth every local knows: sitting in the parking lot after a game is optional. The lots take a while to empty, so don't fight it — walk to the lake, get a beer at Three Weavers, or find dessert, and leave when the streets calm down. And if it's a Sunday day game, here's our favorite version of that plan: our Self-Care Sunday sessions run until 7:30, so you can leave the stadium, come make candles and soaps while everyone else sits on Prairie Avenue, and drive home relaxed with your hands full of things you made.
Come say hi
We're Fragrance of Elegance — handcrafting candles and body care in Inglewood since 2010, now pouring at 10925 S Crenshaw Blvd #106, open Tuesday through Sunday, 11am–7pm. If you're in town for a game, a concert, or no reason at all, come make something with your person. We'll have the wax warm.
